Chiba Jets cruise to win over Red Boosters

Group A - Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters 69 (2-1) vs. Chiba Jets 102 (4-0)

Chiba Jets put down another big marker this EASL season with a dismissal of Korean Basketball League champions Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters on Wednesday night in Anyang.

Chiba Jets defeated defending EASL Champions Week champions Anyang Jung Kwan Jang Red Boosters 102-69 on Wednesday to go 4-0 in EASL this season. John Mooney was the standout performer for the Jets, recording a 22-point, 22-rebound double-double.

Chiba Jets look like the team to beat in EASL this season. Anyang were expected to be one of their most difficult opponents in Group A, but the Japanese side cruised through this test.

Post-game triple

  1. Jets assert their dominance in EASL

The Jets look like the team to beat in EASL this season, staying on top of the Group A standings, as they recorded their fourth victory to stay undefeated this season.

Chiba has two games left in the group stage, with dates against P. LEAGUE+ champions Taipei Fubon Braves and a rematch against KBL champions Jung Kwan Jang.

If they are able to win one of the next two games, they will clinch a berth to the Final Four.

  1. Balanced scoring boosted the Jets

The Jets had many players contributing in the game, with eight of their nine active players getting on the scoresheet.

Five players scored in double figures, led by center John Mooney, who recorded a game-high 22 points

Jets center John Mooney secured his second straight EASL Player of the Game after posting an impressive 22-point, 22-rebound double-double.

The big man also added five assists in the contest.
