Alvark Tokyo returns to EASL action on the road as they are hosted by the TSG GhostHawks in Fengshan Stadium, Kaohsiung City.

Fresh from a wire-to-wire victory over the South Gobi Broncos, Alvark will look to remain on top of the standings. However, they will be up against a tough squad in TSG, as the home squad is looking to prove that their loss at the hands of the Goyang Sono Skygunners was simply an anomaly. Which squad will emerge on top?‍

ALVARK TOKYO‍

In a matchup two teams caught in a budding rivalry, it was the Tokyo-based squad that would get the decisive victory, 113-78 at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi in Japan.

The key for Alvark was their scorching shooting from the perimeter, as they knocked down 21 triples on 48.8% from the perimeter. 

It was quite the EASL debut for Keyontae Johnson, as Alvark’s star import made mincemeat of the Broncos defense, tallying 33 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals in only 27 minutes of action. ‍

TSG GHOSTHAWKS‍

The GhostHawks found themselves on the other end of an unforgettable EASL comeback, as they fell to the Skygunners in thrilling fashion, 99-94. Despite the hospitable environment at the Fengshan Stadium, as well as a 14-point lead midway through the fourth quarter, The GhostHawks simply could not stop a possessed Johnny O’ Bryant, as the Skygunners import made one clutch basket after another to force overtime, and eventually pick up the win for the Skygunners.

Ondrej Balvin was the high man for the GhostHawks, as he tallied 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the losing effort. ‍

SPOTLIGHT STORYLINE: Keyonte The Key‍

The GhostHawks already experienced what it would be like for the squad to slow down stars, as O’Bryant lit up the GhostHawks. Is Keyontae Johnson the next up to have a massive scoring spree at the hands of TSG?

For fans at the Fengshan Stadium, they better hope that’s not the case. But still, TSG will have to do its part to limit the perimeter shooting of their opponents, as well as penetration in the paint. Based on Alvark’s first game, Johnson will play a big role in the team’s outcome.
